Another beautiful day and she had a blast....I never could get her to really look at the camera but still I thought some of the pics came out really pretty.

A day at the Arboretum

Emme and I met her Papa and Sha Sha at the Dallas Arboretum. It was a beautiful day...perfect weather. Emme had a great time running and smelling the flowers and rolling down the hills. It was a really great visit ....hope we can do it again before it gets too hot.

Birthday Girl *Reenactment*

March 24th my girl turned two years old. Where has the time gone? I remember bringing that little bundle of joy home with me like it was yesterday. Each day has been a marvelous adventure.
As you all know we had several celebrations for her and I wasn't able to get a picture with her birthday cake so these pics are a reenactment .....took a big slice from her cake the next day, put the candle back on and let her go to town. As you see she started off like a little lady with her fork but then I guess she decided cake taste better with your hands. Then of course she had to put it on her nose....that got mommy and daddy laughing....I'll warn you now, laughing only encourages so.....cake all over the face, in the hair....good times!!!

A weekend of celebration and fun

We had an awesome weekend. Saturday night Russell's family came over for dinner to celebrate Emme's 2nd b-day. Emme enjoyed all the company and of course all the presents. She did however miss her Aunt Cindy who is in the hospital...hugs and kisses to her.
Emme received lots of great gifts....A to Z talking talking zoo,lots of wooden puzzles, books, earrings and her big present was an art desk and supplies (here comes the messes...not really ....everything they make these days are washable....yeah technology!!!) Thank you everyone from Emme.

Sunday we went to my mom's house for Easter and another b-day party for Emme. My friend Rebbecca and JK joined us. All I can say was what a fun day. It wasn't nearly as cold or yucky of a day as we thought it was going to be. Lots of family and friends. They put together a wine tasting before lunch ....love it when everyone gets a little punchy..hee hee. Mom made two kinds of lamb and a ham and everyone brought a side.....it was a fab feast.
After lunch I put out easter eggs for the kids and they had another egg hunt...these two are pros by now. Russell kept throwing out the ones Emme put in her basket just to keep them going...at this age they are pretty clueless.
After the egg hunt it was b-day party time. We got Emme a cake with her favorite (and only) tv characters...Yo Gabba Gabba...she loved it(don't have a pic, only video at this time)...lots more presents....more puzzles, dress up clothes and accessories, $$$ and some new clothes.
Thanks again to everyone that helped celebrate our girl's b-day, we love you all.

First egg hunt

We went to the Rockwall's Easter Egg Hunt at the park with Emme and my good friend Rebbeca and JK. He and Emme had a great time finding eggs and getting prizes for the special eggs. They both looked so cute.

Bubbles

The weather is warming up and we got the backyard ready for playtime. Cleaned all the furniture and toys and let Emme at it. We ended the afternoon chasing bubbles.

Someone pooped in the potty

We aren't pushing the whole potty thing but she has a pink potty and she likes to sit on it when I'm in the bathroom. Well, yesterday she was pulling on her pj's and saying doo doo....so I took them off....she insisted on taking her own diaper off and she sat on the potty. It took a few minutes but then I saw the poop face and knew she had done the deed......then all the sudden she leaps up grabs some toliet paper and wipes herself in the front then reached behind to wipe.....OMG !!!! could she be any cuter.....who knew making doo doo was so joyous...we clapped our hands and yelled and danced.
Of course today no interest in the potty at all!!!! oh well.....one day at a time.
